This New North Tulsa Development Honors the Past with a View to the Future
On January 12, 2024, Green Country Habitat for Humanity joined Boomtown Development Company, McGee Enterprises, and Twenty20 Management to break ground on this highly anticipated, mixed-income residential development.
Located on the northeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East Reading Street in North Tulsa, Black Wall Street Square’s 25 single-family, energy-efficient townhomes will add a beautiful architectural style to the existing landscape and offer new housing options for potential homebuyers.
This 8.4 million dollar project was inspired by the late Terry McGee and his unwavering commitment to property development in underserved areas of his hometown. It will pay homage to North Tulsa’s unique history through its name, as well as its modern take on the traditional brownstone architecture of the historic Greenwood District.
The highly efficient homes at Black Wall Street Square will be built to Energy Star standards utilizing thermal low-E windows, high-efficiency HVAC systems, LED lighting, spray foam insulation, Energy Star appliances, Energy Star fans, and a brick masonry exterior.
The brick masonry exterior will sustain the development's quality look and feel for years to come and reduces the amount of exterior maintenance often associated with wood siding.

With stunning views of the downtown Tulsa skyline, various amenities will be offered based on client income and unit size. Each home will have the following Energy Star Certified Whirlpool appliances: cooktop/range, vented microwave, garbage disposal, and dishwasher.
Painted or stained wood cabinets will be utilized throughout the development, and neutral interior colors will provide each homeowner with a bright, warm, inviting space to make their own.
Thank you to our Partners!
This would not be possible without the strategic support of community partners who share our vision of removing historical barriers and institutional inequities in buying a home and creating the opportunity for generational wealth through homeownership.
